The book emphasizes the importance of building a relationship with your young Agility prospect, as well as the importance of play in training. She integrates toys and play not only into her Agility training, but into teaching basic Obedience skills as well. These essential skills—such as Come, Wait, and Stay—are often overlooked by people who want to try Agility training but haven’t previously trained a dog. Ruth gives us many ideas for the early stages of training, including teaching the pup how to use a Flyball box so that you can start working on send-away skills for Agility.
