Anastasia Egorova & Stas Kurochkin

Young, enthusiastic, talented, multiple medal winners & both judges to boot.

We are excited to have Anastasia and Stas teaching in Australia. They are both accomplished competitors (multiple gold medals at World Championships), trainers and teachers. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Anastasia – Started agility as a junior handler in 2004 with her german spitz and Yorkshire terrier. Several times Russian Junior Champion in Team and Individual, both FCI and IFCS.

  • Two silver medals with her first BC at Russian Nationals in 2015.Anastasia
  • Two individual medals IFCS WAC in 2016, qualified for FCI AWC in Zaragoza 2016.
  • Gold in Team Agility Large course together with Stas Kurochkin and Russian team and also gold in Team Large Overall.
  • Won Team Agility, Team Jumping and Team Overall at Silesian Open 2017 (biggest championships in Poland) together with Lisa Frick and Tereza Kralova.
  • Qualified to IFCS WAC 2017 in Spain, won two individual medals.

Anastasia has been coaching, presenting seminars and judging since 2011. Anastasia is also a member of the H360 community.

Stas – Young and talented handler and trainer, started agility in 2007.
With his two border collies Zippy and Aki:

  • Multiple podium winner of Russian and international events.Stas
  • 4 times Russian National Champion.
  • Two gold medals in Team Agility Large course and Team Agility Overall together with Anastasia Egorova and Team Russia at FCI AWC 2016 in Zaragoza.
  • 9 medals at IFCS WAC 2016 in Netherlands.
  • 5 gold and 4 silver medals at IFCS WAC 2017 in Spain with his two border collies.
  • Qualified in Individual Large to FCI AWC 2017.

Stas has been coaching, presenting seminars and judging since 2015.

General Information:

  • Session times as listed with workshop information.
  • The organisers and/or instructor may nominate which dogs will work the session or exercise.
  • Handlers working a dog may arrange for workshop co-participants to video sessions when they are working their dog (for their personal use only) but may not video other dogs or Anastasia/Stas lecturing. It is not appropriate for multiple dogs to be recorded on the same video recorder. Please note you may be asked to leave if you do not comply with this request.
  • Participants should note that Stas has minimal English and, with the exception of Foundations Discussion (in which Anastasia will translate) we will have a translator available for all sessions.

Venues:

Foundation/Beginner day – Friday 2 March 2018:

  • 85 Blackwall Road, Chuwar Qld 4306.
  • This is a grassed training field, with trees around the perimeter plus a building verandah. This venue is fully fenced with an air conditioned building.

Skills & Sequencing – Saturday 3 March and Sunday 4 March 2018:

  • Tivoli Sporting Complex, 69 Church Street Tivoli.
  • This is a grassed field. This venue is fully fenced. Under NO circumstances are dogs allowed on baseball diamonds.
  • Please follow organiser instructions with regards pegging on the field.

Venue & times are subject to change depending on factors like weather etc.

Camping/Accommodation: Is not available at the Workshop Venues.

Food/Drinks: Water, tea and coffee available. All else, including lunches, BYO

Auditors

  • For the benefit of those attending, the number of Auditors may be limited.
  • In order to secure your place, payment in full will be required within 48 hours of your registration being accepted. Payments can be made via direct deposit (preferred) or Paypal.

Handlers with Dogs

  • Handlers with Dogs will be limited.
  • Whilst order of receipt of nominations will be taken into account, working places will not necessarily be allocated on a first come-first served basis.
  • Those requesting Handler with Dog positions will need to submit payment in full for an Auditing spot. Once a request for Handler with Dog spot is accepted, balance of payment will be required within 48 hours. Payments can be made via direct deposit (preferred) or Paypal.

Dogs at the Workshops

  • Please note that dogs may not, at any time, be left tied up. Dogs may be on-lead with their handler, or will be required (preferably) to be crated (or penned/suitably confined), when they are not working.
  • Unless you have received specific permission to do so, additional dog(s) that have not been registered to work the sessions, should not be brought to the workshops.
  • In the interests of all present, dogs that continually bark will need to be removed from the premises.
  • These requirements will be enforced.

Foundations Discussion (Anastasia & Stas)
(2 March 2018 – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm)

  • Topic Details: Anastasia and Stas will present and discuss the foundations they teach their young dogs to create such brilliance.
  • Handlers with Dogs: There will be no specific Handler with Dog spots however we may invite a few Handlers with Dogs should Anastasia and Stas wish to demonstrate any particular exercises.

Beginner Dogs Skills (Stas)
(2 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm)

  • Topic Details: This will be a session to build on foundations and fundamental skills for young dogs and expand into areas you might not yet have ventured.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: For young dogs just starting (12+ months old).

Body Awareness and Conditioning (Anastasia)
(2 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm)

  • Topic Details: Anastasia will take you through body awareness and conditioning exercises for you to ensure that your dog has the best opportunity for a safe and long Agility career

Advanced Group (2 days) – WORKING SPOTS FULL
(3 March 2018 – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm – Skills with Anastasia)
(3 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm– Sequencing with Stas)
(4 March 2018 – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm – Skills with Stas)
(4 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm– Sequencing with Stas)

  • Topic Details: This group will work together for the two days building and testing skills and extending themselves and their dogs.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: Dogs must be obstacle proficient, competing in ANKC and/or ADAA competitions. They must be competing at Open and/or Masters level.

Advanced Sequencing #1 (Stas)
(3 March 2018 – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm)

  • Topic Details: This will be a (stand alone) sequencing session for Advanced dogs and handlers.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: Dogs must be obstacle proficient, competing in ANKC and/or ADAA competitions. They must be competing at Open and/or Masters level.

Advanced Sequencing #2 (Anastasia)
(3 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm)

  • Topic Details: This will be a (stand alone) sequencing session for Advanced dogs and handlers.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: Dogs must be obstacle proficient, competing in ANKC and/or ADAA competitions. They must be competing at Open and/or Masters level.

Intermediate Skills (Anastasia)
(4 March 2018 – 8.30 am to 12.00 pm)

  • Topic Details: This will be a skill building session targeted at dogs at the Intermediate skill level, ie that have been competing for a while and looking to move towards Open/Masters level.  Anastasia will work with you to test your skills, evaluate what you have and to build areas needing improvement.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: Dogs must be obstacle proficient, competing in ANKC and/or ADAA competitions. It is likely they will have achieved their first title

Intermediate Sequencing (Anastasia)
(4 March 2018 – 1.00 pm to 4.30 pm)

  • Topic Details: This will be a sequencing session targeted at dogs at the Intermediate skill level.  Anastasia will work with you to put the skills you have to the test.  You will go through handling options that suit the sequence, looking at the dog’s line, testing the skill you have and working on your timing and execution.
  • Prerequisite for Handlers with Dogs: Dogs must be obstacle proficient, competing in ANKC and/or ADAA competitions. It is likely they will have achieved their first title

  • ** Fee for Handler with Dog session includes Audit of the other session on the same day at no additional charge – but you must REGISTER (and pay deposit equivalent to audit fee) for BOTH.  Deposits paid will be deducted from balance due.  This offer excludes Audit of Foundations Discussions.
